Konrad Wisniewski serves as the Business Relationship Manager and Head of Corporate Citizenship for the North Carolina Department of Commerce. In this role, Konrad serves as a liaison between the Department of Commerce and North Carolina’s business community, assisting in the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategy. Konrad is also focused on building and elevating the Department’s strategic partnerships with some of its largest external stakeholders, most notably leading North Carolina’s programming efforts for the Southeast U.S-Japan Conference. 

Konrad works closely with new and existing companies to develop projects focused on the Department’s key priorities including environmental sustainability, work-based learning and workforce development, and childcare solutions.

Prior to his role at Commerce, Konrad led economic development efforts for the Belgian government where he assisted Belgian companies enter the U.S. market and American companies establish European headquarters. He also led and organized several international trade missions for the Belgian Royal family and became an expert in beer, chocolate, and waffles along the way.

Konrad is a graduate of Stony Brook University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and his Master’s Degree in Public Policy.
