On Feb. 10, 2026, Governor Josh Stein announced workforce funding support for NC Career Launch, to help develop and scale youth pre-apprenticeships and registered apprenticeship opportunities for students, beginning in grades 11 and 12, in high-demand sectors like child care, health care, skilled trades, and advanced manufacturing.
