Funding details for award totals to the Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) for Program Year (PY) 2025 are provided as follows and revised annually. Unless otherwise noted, all DWS statements, news releases, requests for proposals, bid solicitations, visual presentations, and other applicable documents and programs are fully funded from federal sources.

  • The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I Programs (including Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth) are 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $66,329,591.

  • The Employment Services/Wagner-Peyser Program (WIOA Title III) is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $19,167,523.

  • The WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant Program for Hurricane Helene is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $6,000,000.

  • The WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant Program for the Canton Paper Mill is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $4,503,153. 

  • The Partners for Reentry Opportunities in Workforce Development (PROWD) Grant program is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, as part of awards totaling $9,971,314.

  • The Jobs for Veterans State Grants Program (also known as NCWorks Veterans Services) is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $5,703.016.

  • The Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $499,537.

  • The Trade Adjustment Assistance Program is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor through awards totaling $2,559,596.

  • The Unemployment Insurance - Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program is 100 percent supported by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $4,730,036.

  • American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) projects are 100 percent supported by State Fiscal Recovery Funds (federal award number SLFRP0129, awarded to the State of North Carolina by the U.S. Department of the Treasury) totaling $16,000,000.
