Loba-Wakol, LLC, a supplier to the wood and resilient flooring industry, will expand their operations in North Carolina, establishing a new distribution and warehouse facility in Anson County and creating 24 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company plans to invest $6.6 million in Wadesboro.

“North Carolina offers an ideal location, skilled workforce, and strong transportation networks for international companies looking to expand their North American operations,” said Governor Cooper. “We’re proud to welcome this company and these new jobs to our state.”
Superior Plastics Extrusion Company, Inc., known as Impact Plastics, will expand its manufacturing operations in Richmond County and create 13 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $5.3 million in Hamlet.

“This announcement is just the latest example of a manufacturer finding success in North Carolina and deciding to expand their footprint here,” Gov. Cooper said. “Impact Plastics’ decision proves our strong workforce makes our state one of the best places to do business.”
Chewy, an online pet supply retailer, has selected Rowan County for its new fulfillment center, creating 1,200 new jobs and investing $55 million, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will locate in Salisbury, N.C.   

“Chewy selected North Carolina because from our infrastructure to our workforce, we have everything businesses need to succeed,” Gov. Cooper said. “These new jobs will make a positive impact on Rowan County and the surrounding area.”  
Governor Roy Cooper today visited Rempac Foam Corporation’s manufacturing facility in Lumberton, where he announced a grant to help protect the business and its jobs from future floods and discussed ongoing efforts to rebuild from Hurricane Florence. During his tour, the governor met with company officials and employees and inspected the area where a state-supported project aims to make the facility more resilient.
Pacon Manufacturing Corporation, a contract manufacturer, has selected Brunswick County for its new plant, creating 299 new jobs and investing $37.6 million, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will bring manufacturing to Navassa, N.C.
Cellectis, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company is planning to create up to 200 jobs as it locates its U.S. commercial-scale manufacturing facility in Wake County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company is developing immunotherapies based on gene-edited allogeneic CAR T-cells (UCART).
Aetna, a CVS Health business, is growing its presence in North Carolina and will add more than 300 new employees in High Point by the end of 2020, Governor Roy Cooper announced today.  The business will invest approximately $2.5 million to upgrade its facilities and equipment in conjunction with this expansion.
BestCo LLC, a developer and manufacturer of consumer healthcare products, will create 141 jobs as it expands its manufacturing center in Iredell County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest an additional $47.5 million in the facility, located in Mooresville.

“Companies choose to invest in communities where they’ll be able to succeed, and BestCo decided to expand in Mooresville because it knows this community,” Governor Cooper said. “Employers that know North Carolina know we have the talent, infrastructure and businesses climate they need to thrive.”
AveXis, Inc., a leading gene therapy company developing treatments for rare and life-threatening neurological diseases, will create 200 jobs as it expands its manufacturing center in Durham County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The new center was first announced in May of last year. AveXis will invest an additional $60 million in the facility.
Publix Super Markets, Inc. will build a refrigerated distribution center in Guilford County by the end of 2022 as part of a multiphase project and has plans to create up to 1,000 jobs by 2025, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company is expected to invest up to $300 million in the first phase of the project.
