Beverage Co-Packing Company to Add 231 Jobs in Cabarrus County

Prime Beverage Group, a new contract beverage manufacturer, will create 231 new jobs in Cabarrus County, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $68 million to establish their first manufacturing facility in Kannapolis.

“North Carolina is the ideal location to create new products and serve new markets,” said Governor Cooper. “Prime Beverage Group’s first manufacturing facility in our state showcases our readiness to grow jobs and move our state’s economy forward.”

Metals Company Will Launch Multi-Million Dollar Expansion in Shelby

Ames Copper Group, a joint venture of Prime Materials Recovery, Inc. (PMR) and the Cunext Group, will create 46 jobs in Cleveland County, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest at least $26.3 million with the expansion of its copper manufacturing facility located in Shelby.

“This is good news for Cleveland County, and the City of Shelby,” said Governor Cooper. “Ames Copper Group knows our state’s strong workforce and looked to North Carolina for this next phase of growth.”

Ontex Group Announces Plans to Create 403 Jobs in Rockingham County

Ontex Operations USA, LLC part of Belgium’s Ontex Group NV, has plans to establish significant new operations in Rockingham County that would create up to 403 new jobs by 2025, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will manufacture a range of personal care and hygiene products that will be sold through leading retailers in the USA and Canada. Expenditures for the land, building, and operating assets including those made by Ontex will generate an investment of $93.3 million.

Beverage Company to Add 226 New Jobs in Burke County 

Unix Packaging, a California-based contract manufacturer of branded and private label beverages, will create 226 new jobs in Burke County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $19 million to locate its first East Coast manufacturing facility in Morganton.

“Companies like Unix Packaging continue to choose North Carolina as the right choice for East Coast operations,” said Governor Cooper. “This decision shines a bright spotlight on North Carolina’s strong economy and ability to support growing companies amid this global pandemic.”

Charlotte Pipe Awarded Grant from Job Maintenance and Capital Development Fund for Stanly County Facility

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company has been awarded a Job Maintenance and Capital Development Fund (JMAC) grant to support the relocation of its foundry operation from Mecklenburg County to Stanly County. In modernizing its production of cast iron soil pipe, fittings and castings, the company will retain at least 1,050 jobs in North Carolina as it invests $325 million in Stanly County.  At least 400 of these jobs will be based at the new foundry in Stanly County.

Aerospace Company to Invest $2.3 Million in Murphy

Moog, Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A), a New York-based advanced technology company, will create 12 new jobs in Cherokee County, Commerce Secretary Anthony M. Copeland announced today. The company will invest more than $2.3 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Murphy.

Customer Contact Solutions Company Selects Edgecombe County for 200-Job Facility

Utah-based Focus Services LLC, a global innovator in customer contact solutions, will create up to 200 jobs at a new operations center in Tarboro, Commerce Secretary Anthony M. Copeland announced today. The company’s plans, which includes a $1 million capital investment, mark a return of the telecommunications sector to Tarboro, onetime headquarters of Carolina Telephone & Telegraph.

Copeland announced today. The company’s plans in Cabarrus County include the creation of 257 jobs over five years and a capital investment of $86 million.

Bandwidth Inc., a leading global provider of communications software, will expand its Raleigh headquarters in a move that will bring 1,165 new jobs to North Carolina over the coming eight years, Commerce Secretary Anthony Copeland announced today. The company’s plans include the creation of at least $103,426,500 in capital investment.
