Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Electrolux, a global leader in home and professional appliances, will expand its headquarters in Charlotte.  The company plans to create an additional 810 jobs in Charlotte by the end of 2017 and invest $85 million in its Mecklenburg County location. The project was made possible in part by an award from the state Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) program.  Receipt of the award is based on proof of job creation and other performance requirements.

, NC - Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today The Solar Connection will locate its manufacturing facility in McDowell County.  The company plans to create 50 jobs and invest more than $500,000 over the next three years in Marion.   “North Carolina will continue to embrace an ‘all of the above’ approach to energy development,” said Governor McCrory. “We applaud The Solar Connection, a veteran-owned company, for its commitment to hire military veteran workers and grow operations in Western North Carolina.”  

Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker recently announced that USA InvestCo plans to create 100 jobs and invest more than $15 million in a new cold storage facility at the Port of Wilmington.   The company is developing the Port of Wilmington Cold Storage facility (PWCS), a 75,000-square-foot cold storage facility that will store locally produced pork, poultry, fruits and vegetables. PWCS could eventually be expanded to 300,000 square feet depending on demand.
