Composite materials manufacturer to establish new facility in Gastonia
Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Trelleborg  Coated Systems US, Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered polymer solutions, will expand its operations in Rutherford County.  The company plans to create 76 new jobs and invest $10.6 million over the next four years in Rutherfordton.
, N.C. -- Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that RC Creations, LLC, a seafood processing company, will establish a new facility in Pender County. The company plans to create 120 new jobs and invest more than $25 million by the end of 2017.  
Governor Pat McCrory announced that the 2013 Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Workforce Development were presented today to three companies and four North Carolinians. The awards honor individuals and businesses for outstanding accomplishments and contributions in helping North Carolina achieve its workforce development goals. “I congratulate these award recipients for their determination, innovation and commitment to helping make our employees the nation’s best,” said Governor McCrory. “Our highly skilled workforce is leading our economic recovery.”  
Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that more than 1,600 new businesses have registered to find qualified workers with NCWorks Online since the site was launched on Aug. 5. More than 13,000 new job orders and more than 16,000 new resumes have also been posted to NCWorks Online, which is operated by the N.C. Division of Workforce Solutions. The integrated workforce system has registered more than 16,000 new job seekers who are now able to take advantage of the system’s job-matching tools and career exploration services.

The new Cary office co-locates GE’s engineering and product management with other critical functions under one roof. In addition, it creates a global headquarters for GE’s Power Components and Power Equipment businesses.

Canadian apparel manufacturer to expand multiple N.C. facilities
Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Jacob Holm Industries, a global nonwoven manufacturing company, will expand its operations in Buncombe County.  The company plans to create 66 new jobs with a minimum qualifying investment of more than $45.9 million. The total capital investment is likely to exceed $60 million when the final project is complete.  This growth will take place over the next three years in Candler.  
Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Greenheck Fan Corporation, a leading manufacturer of air movement and control equipment, will expand its operations in Cleveland County.  The company plans to create 184 new jobs and invest $30 million over the next five years in Shelby.
