NC’s August Unemployment Rate Decreases

<p>North Carolina&#39;s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased 2.0 percentage points to 6.5 percent from July&rsquo;s revised rate of 8.5 percent.</p>

North Carolina's unemployment rate fell 2.0 percentage points from the revised July rate of 8.5 percent. This is 1.9 percentage points lower than the U.S. rate at 8.4 percent.

Seasonally adjusted Total Nonfarm employment increased by 17,000 in August to 4,263,100.
