In order to participate in the Workforce Pell Grant Program, a short-term training program must meet certain requirements and be approved both by the State of North Carolina and the U.S. Department of Education. The NCWorks Commission is the entity designated by the Governor of North Carolina to serve as the administrator of state-level approval for Workforce Pell. Institutions (those who provide the training) must gain approval at the state level before applying for program approval at the federal level. Anyone interested in training should contact the institution directly for more information.
