In 2024, Commerce commissioned the consultants at EBP to model the workforce implications of several state clean energy supply and demand policy scenarios. While both the federal and state policy landscapes have shifted since then, the modeled "growth scenario" pursuing ambitious clean energy strategies would result in almost 10,000 additional jobs through 2050, above and beyond the jobs projected in a "business as usual scenario."
