Valve and Piping Manufacturers to Expand in Robeson County

Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Flo-Tite Valve Controls and sister company Titan Flow Control will be expanding their manufacturing operations in Robeson County. 

 

Flo-Tite plans to create as many as 25 new jobs and invest more than $1.5 million in Lumberton.  Titan Flow Control plans to create up to 15 new jobs and invest more than $2 million in Lumberton. 

 

Ceramics Manufacturer to Expand in Iredell County

Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that NGK Ceramics USA will expand its operations in Iredell County. The company plans to create 18 new jobs and invest more than $22 million in Mooresville.

 

“North Carolina’s workers are uniquely qualified to handle all aspects of the manufacturing process,” said Governor McCrory. “We’re thankful that NGK Ceramics USA is expanding in Iredell County. The State of North Carolina is committed to supporting the growth of advanced manufacturing.”

 

DES Makes Organizational Changes to Enhance Efficiency

The Division of Employment Security’s (DES) Assistant Secretary, Dale Folwell, announced that the Division will merge two units to provide more accuracy, timeliness and quality to all aspects of the Division. DES, a division of the N.C. Department of Commerce, will merge Quality Control with Internal Audit effective immediately.


“This move will enhance internal accountability and oversight,” said Folwell. “It will not add positions, but will increase our accuracy and consistency to benefit our customers.”

Absorbent Hygiene Products Manufacturer to Locate North American Operations Center in Pitt County

Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Domtar Corporation, a pulp, paper and absorbent hygiene products manufacturer, marketer and distributor will expand its facility in Pitt County.   The company plans to create 35 new jobs and invest $100,000 over the next three years in Greenville. This expansion is in addition to the approximately $20 million of capital already invested in the region by Domtar during the past two years.

idX Impressions to Expand in Beaufort County

ton, NC - Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that idX Impressions will be expanding its manufacturing operations in Beaufort County.  The company plans to create 159 new jobs and invest $3 million over the next three years in Washington.

Confectionary Company to create 90 jobs in Orange County

, NC - Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Morinaga, a leading international confectionary company, will locate a new facility in Orange County.   The company plans to create 90 new jobs and invest $48 million over the next three years.

 

“Morinaga’s decision to locate in Orange County will mean more North Carolina products being sold in the global marketplace,” said Governor McCrory. “Our robust talent pool and attractive quality of life will be a perfect fit for this growing company.”

 

Exterior Building Products Manufacturer to Expand in Lenoir County

Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Associated Materials Inc. (AMI) will be expanding its manufacturing operation in Lenoir County.  The company plans to create 252 new jobs and invest more than $5 million over the next five years in Kinston.

 

Stable Trading Company to Create 45 Jobs in Robeson County

, NC- Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Due Process Stable Trading Company, LLC will locate a new manufacturing facility in Robeson County.  The company plans to create 45 new jobs and invest $1.37 million over the next three years in Lumberton.

The new system, NC Works Online, provides a one-stop platform to streamline the job search process, while improving security and reducing annual operational costs by more than $400,000.
