Ossid will retain 79 jobs, while creating six new jobs in Rocky Mount

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) has selected Pinehurst to host the group’s bi-annual meeting from April 26 to 30, 2014. The IAMC conference will provide an opportunity to showcase the state, giving North Carolina unique access to executives and economic developers across the nation who are key decision makers when businesses choose to expand or relocate their operations and where new jobs will be located.

State Grant Helps Company Locate in Gastonia

Three economic development projects announced by Gov. Bev Perdue and the N.C. Department of Commerce were recently selected to receive 2011 CiCi Awards by Trade & Industry Development, a leading magazine dedicated to site selection. The 6th annual CiCi awards go to projects announced in 2010 that have made a significant Corporate Investment and Community Impact. Together, the three projects expect to create 764 direct jobs and bring $886 million in corporate investments to the state.

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that LANXESS, a manufacturer of high-tech plastics, rubber and chemicals, will locate a new facility in Gaston County.  The company plans to create 55 jobs and invest $15 million during the next three years in Gastonia.  The project was made possible in part by a $250,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Lydall, a manufacturer of specialty thermal/acoustical products for the automotive industry, will expand their manufacturing facility in Hamptonville and open a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Yadkinville.  The company plans to create 170 jobs and invest $18.5 million during the next three years in Yadkin County.  The project was made possible in part by a $300,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Bev Perdue announced during a visit to the Keihin Carolina System Technology plant in Tarboro today that the company plans to create 50 new jobs and invest more than $13 million in expanding their facility. KCST is a world leader in the manufacture of Engine Control units and electronic assemblies for Honda and Acura automobiles and Honda Power Sports.

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that TyraTech, a Florida-based eco-technology company, will relocate its headquarters to Morrisville. TyraTech has chosen to bring 105 jobs to Wake County because of the talented workforce available in North Carolina.
