, N.C.-- North Carolina has awarded $205,000 to 26 employers across the state to help them invest in building the skills of their workers.  The NCWorks Incumbent Worker Training Grant program assists businesses with reimbursements for the cost of training programs, provided such services meet state requirements. Each business applies for a grant through its local workforce development board, which reviews the application and submits its recommendations for evaluation to the N.C. Division of Workforce Solutions. 

Raleigh, N.C. -  Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary John Skvarla along with the Economic Development Partnership of NC announced today that White Labs, Inc. is opening a new facility in Buncombe County.  The company plans to create 56 new jobs over the next three years and invest $8.1 million over the next five years in Buncombe County.  

North Carolina Commerce Secretary John Skvarla and Assistant Secretary for Rural Development Dr. Pat Mitchell announced today that the N.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved a building reuse grant of $500,000 for the city of Thomasville with the commitment of 40 new jobs.

Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. announced today that Agility Fuel Systems is locating a regional headquarters and a state of the art production facility in Rowan County and will create 149 new jobs over the next three years. The company plans to invest $7.5 million in Salisbury.
