Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Dopaco Inc., a national supplier of specialty paperboard packaging for the food industry, plans to expand its facility in Kinston, investing $25.3 million and adding 123 jobs during the next three years. The expansion was made possible in part by a $200,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Sypris Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Louisville-based Sypris Solutions Inc. that makes components for truck axles, will invest $25.4 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Burke County and add 203 jobs by the end of 2013. The project was made possible in part by a Job Development Investment Grant.

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Precor Inc., an international manufacturer of physical fitness equipment, will build a manufacturing facility in Greensboro, investing $26.2 million and adding 142 jobs during the next three years. The project was made possible in part by a $142,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Dynapar Corp., an international supplier of automated equipment control devices, plans to expand its Elizabethtown plant, investing $1.5 million and adding 79 jobs during the next three years. The expansion was made possible in part by a $150,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that Merchants Distributors Inc., a Hickory-based wholesale food distribution company, will expand its distribution center in Caldwell County, adding 200 jobs and investing more than $50 million by 2014. The project was made possible in part by a Job Development Investment Grant.

Mike Easley announced today that PPG Industries FiberGlass Products Inc., a leading manufacturer of fiberglass reinforcements, plans to expand its facility in Shelby, investing $20.5 million and adding 120 jobs during the next three years. The expansion was made possible in part by a $300,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. “North Carolina is known internationally for its top-rated business climate,” said Easley. “Our skilled workforce and the state’s quality of life continue to attract good jobs from growing companies like this one.”

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that American Food Resources LLC, a national food wholesale and distribution company, plans to expand its facility in Nashville, investing $3 million and adding 70 jobs during the next three years. The expansion was made possible in part by a $50,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Mike Easley announced today that a Rapid Response Team from the N.C. Department of Commerce is being deployed to work with Silver Line Building Products LLC., which has announced that it plans to close its Durham window manufacturing facility in late December. The closing will affect 428 workers.

Gov.
