Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Frontier Logistics, a provider of logistics services to the plastics industry, will locate a new warehouse and transfer facility in Montgomery County.  The company plans to create 71 jobs and invest $5.15 million during the next five years in Star. The project was made possible in part by a $128,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.
Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Global Packaging, Inc., a manufacturer of consumer packaging materials, will locate a new manufacturing facility in Richmond County.  The company plans to create 64 jobs and invest $1.7 million during the next three years in Hamlet.  The project was made possible in part by a $64,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.
North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that North Carolina will receive $46.1 million in federal funds for the N.C. Capital Access Program (NC-CAP) at the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center.  The money, allocated through the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, will allow community banks to help leverage more than $800 million in credit for North Carolina small businesses.

Bev Perdue announced today that Capgemini, a consulting and information technology company headquartered in Paris, will establish a delivery center in the U.S. market to support its clients within the banking, insurance and capital market sectors by opening an office in Charlotte. The company plans to create 550 jobs in Charlotte over the next three years and will invest $4.2 million. The project was made possible in part by a state grant from the Job Development Investment Grant program.

Bev Perdue announced today that Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Inc., a global leader in vaccine and diagnostics, will add a development lab and pilot plant at the site of its pandemic and seasonal flu production facility in Holly Springs.   The company plans to create 100 new positions in North Carolina and will invest $36 million as part of the project, which was made possible in part by state grants from the Job Development Investment Grant program and One North Carolina Fund.
