Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Ipreo Holdings, a global company that provides market intelligence, data and technology solutions to capital markets and corporate professionals around the world, will establish a business center in Wake County. The company plans to create 250 new jobs in North Carolina by the end of 2017 and invest over $3 million in its Raleigh location.
Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that Ply Gem Industries, a manufacturer of building products, will expand its operations in Columbus County.  The company plans to create 145 jobs and invest $15.5 million over the next three years in Fair Bluff. “These new manufacturing jobs are a welcome and necessary step to improving the economy in Columbus County,” said Governor McCrory. “It’s always encouraging when a great corporate citizen like Ply Gem chooses to expand right here in North Carolina.”
, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory announced plans today to pursue a “Partnership for Prosperity,” an effort to change the way we foster economic growth in North Carolina. New legislation will create a separate nonprofit corporation to center economic development functions for the state.   A board of directors, chaired by the governor,  will oversee the Partnership and have governance of all recruitment and retention activities. The functions include small business development, entrepreneurship, international investment and import/export, along with travel & tourism.
Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced today that XPO Logistics, a company that provides freight management, expedited transportation and freight forwarding services, will expand its national operations center in Mecklenburg County. The company plans to create 287 new jobs in North Carolina by the end of 2014 and invest $688,000 into its Ballantyne Corporate Park location in Charlotte.
Today, N.C. Secretary of Commerce Sharon Decker announced the selection of three members of her leadership team. Josh Ellis was named the Assistant Secretary for Communications and External Affairs after serving as the department’s public information officer.  Timothy D. Mayes was named Human Resources Director and Ashley Jones was named the Director of Legislative Affairs. 
Today, Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced that Meherrin River Forest Products, a lumber processor, will locate its operations in Halifax County.  The company plans to create 40 jobs and invest more than $1.8 million over the next three years in Weldon. “Our state has abundant natural resources and this project is a great opportunity for us to use those assets to create jobs,” said Governor McCrory. “We welcome Meherrin River Forest Products to Halifax County and wish them continued success in North Carolina.”
Secretary Sharon Decker today announced that Dale Folwell will become the Assistant Secretary of Employment Security at the N.C. Department of Commerce.   “We’re putting more emphasis on customer service by increasing access to programs that help unemployed individuals rejoin the workforce while streamlining the process to ensure legitimate claims are processed quickly,” said Decker. “We must also improve communications with employers and prevent the release of improper benefits in order to strengthen the integrity of the NC unemployment insurance system.”

Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced that OFS Brands, a furniture and logistics company, will expand its facility in Guilford County.  The company plans to create 188 jobs and invest $9.25 million over the next five years in High Point.   “Our state has a proud history as a leading furniture manufacturer because our workforce is second to none,” said Governor McCrory. “We’re excited that OFS Brands has decided to invest in North Carolina once again.”  
Raleigh, N.C. - Today, Governor Pat McCrory announced that MetLife, Inc., a leading global life insurance and employee benefits company, intends to create 2,600 jobs in Charlotte and Cary, North Carolina by the end of 2015. The company expects to invest, or cause to be invested, $125.5 million into its new Mecklenburg and Wake County campuses. 
, N.C. --  Today, Governor Pat McCrory and N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced that Otto Environmental Systems North America Inc., a plastics manufacturer, will expand its facility in Mecklenburg County.  The company plans to create 32 jobs and invest $7 million over the next three years in Charlotte.
