, N.C.— Innovation grants will assist 11 North Carolina companies in bringing cutting-edge products to the marketplace. Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla III announced the latest round of One North Carolina Small Business Fund recipients today along with awards totaling $544,967. “North Carolina faces tremendous competition from other states who want our budding high-growth, high-wage companies,” said Governor McCrory. “These grants help keep North Carolina in the race for our next home-grown success story.”
igh, N.C. --   Nearly a dozen Small Town Main Street communities have now achieved Main Street status.  Those communities are Ayden, Benson, Bessemer City, Cherryville, Elizabethtown, Tryon, Valdese, Waxhaw and Williamston.  These cities and towns have fulfilled the requirements necessary to achieve this designation such as hiring a permanent Main Street director and organizing their downtown revitalization work in accordance with the Main Street Four-Point® program.
Raleigh, N.C.— Governor Pat McCrory, North Carolina Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla, III and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina announced today that Herbalife Ltd. will be expanding in Forsyth County. The company plans to create 301 new jobs in Winston-Salem by the end of 2018, in addition to the 500 jobs that will have been created by the end of 2015. It also plans to invest an additional $3.5 million into infrastructure and development by the end of next year.

, N.C.— Governor Pat McCrory, N.C. Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla III and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) announced today that National Spinning Co., Inc. will be expanding its facilities in North Carolina and creating 50 new jobs over the next three years.  The company plans to invest $1.5 million in the town of Beulaville over the same period.  
Raleigh, N.C.— Governor Pat McCrory, N.C. Commerce Secretary John E. Skvarla III and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. announced today that White Oak Carpet Mills, LLC, a division of CAP Carpet, Inc. based in Wichita, Kansas is expanding its operations in Rutherford County and plans to create 40 new jobs over the next three years.  The company plans to invest $4.1 million in the town of Spindale over the same period.  
More people in North Carolina will receive help preparing for jobs in high-demand occupations, thanks to a $5.25 million federal grant awarded to the state. The money will be used to create and implement a new program called NCWorks Certified Career Pathways.

Skvarla III and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. announced today that Blue Bloodhound, LP is establishing operations in Catawba County and plans to create 191 new jobs over the next three years.  The company plans to invest $400,000 in the city of Hickory over the same period.

Skvarla III  and the Economic Development Partnership of N.C. announced today that Proto Labs, Inc., will be expanding in Wake County and creating 170 new jobs over the next five years. The company plans to invest in excess of $25 million in the Town of Cary over the same period.
