Macy’s, Inc. (NYSE: M), the iconic American retailer, will invest more than $584 million to build its first automated fulfillment center in the Town of China Grove, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. Once fully operational, the company says it plans to employ 2,800 new jobs in Rowan County.

VinFast, the Vietnamese auto manufacturer building a new line of electric vehicles, has selected North Carolina for its first North American automotive assembly and battery manufacturing plant, creating 7,500 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper and Vingroup Vice Chair and VinFast Global CEO Le Thi Thu Thuy announced today during an event at the new Raleigh Convention Center. The company intends to invest up to $2 billion in phase 1 of its project at the Triangle Innovation Point megasite in Chatham County.

Service Offsite Solutions (SOS), a supplier of offsite homebuilding solutions, will create 235 new jobs in a Lee County expansion, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $11.8 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Sanford. “This expansion is another great economic development win for North Carolina,” said Governor Cooper. “Companies know our capable workforce, central location, and great quality of life are benefits to helping the homebuilding industry meet the high demand in North Carolina.”

Sixty nine percent of businesses responding to an ongoing survey of North Carolina businesses report they either met or exceeded their revenue expectations in the month of January, according to preliminary results from the state’s Business Pulse Survey.  Looking ahead, forty six percent of businesses responding to the survey plan to raise wages in the next six months, with forty six percent also planning to increase their staffing levels.

BestCo LLC, a leading manufacturer of innovative over-the-counter pharmaceutical, vitamin, and supplement products will significantly expand its facilities in Iredell County, creating 394 jobs, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $177 million to increase production capacity in Mooresville.

Nordfab, a manufacturer of ductwork used in environmental filtration systems will expand its existing operations in Thomasville with an investment of $5.5 million, Governor Roy Cooper announced today.  The decision creates 25 jobs in Davidson County to support the expansion of the company’s production facilities.

Meritor, Inc. [NYSE: MTOR], a supplier of commercial vehicle solutions, will add 25 new jobs in Burke County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest more than $4 million to expand its trailer operation in the City of Morganton. “North Carolina has been intentional in our efforts to create a thriving manufacturing economy,” said Governor Cooper. “Companies like Meritor know they can rely on our extensive transportation network, affordability, and resilient workforce to execute their growth strategies.”

Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc. will create 167 jobs in Wayne County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest more than $35 million to expand its manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations to Goldsboro. “Some of our very best business recruiters are the existing industries that continue to reinvest in North Carolina,” said Governor Cooper. “The expansion of a household brand like Mt. Olive Pickle Company proves that North Carolina’s quality of life, central location, and experienced talent are attractive to growing companies.”

The Sherwin-Williams Company (NYSE: SHW), the well-known global manufacturer of paints and coatings, will create 183 jobs in Iredell County as it expands its facilities in Statesville, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest $324 million to significantly expand its manufacturing capacity and establish a larger distribution facility at the site.

BrassCraft Manufacturing Company, leading provider of rough plumbing products, will create nearly 100 new jobs in Davidson County, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. The company will invest more than $13 million to expand its manufacturing operations in the City of Thomasville. “This expansion by BrassCraft is a great vote of confidence for North Carolina’s economy,” said Governor Cooper. “The company has seen success in Davidson County and understands the value of our workforce, quality of life and central location that support its global reputation.”
