, NC- Governor Pat McCrory announced the Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM) has authorized payments for 41 grants funded by the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center. The grants total $2,020,464.92.
“The Office of State Budget and Management continues to work diligently to review these grants so we can honor these commitments our rural communities,” said Governor McCrory.
Since August 1, OSBM has authorized payments for 112 grants submitted for funding by the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center. The grants total more than $5.5 million.
The Commerce Department and OSBM are currently working with a five-member Rural Center board committee on the transition of programs and grants to the Commerce Department.
