Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Tasz Inc. will create 21 jobs in Caldwell County. The company plans to create the jobs and invest $2.2 million in Lenoir during the next three years. The project was made possible in part by a $42,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that Empire Foods Inc., an advanced-technology food processing company, will bring 200 jobs to Halifax County. The company, using technology licensed from N.C. State University, plans to create 200 jobs and invest $2.5 million over the next five years.
